Rockrose Development L.L.C. (“Rockrose”) has been investigating a security incident.  We are providing information about the measures Rockrose has taken in response to this security incident and steps you can take to help protect against possible misuse of information.

What Happened

Rockrose launched an investigation and engaged third-party experts to assist in its investigation.  Through Rockrose’s ongoing investigation, Rockrose determined that unauthorized individuals accessed Rockrose’s systems and claim to have acquired confidential information stored in certain of those systems.  Rockrose has taken steps to secure its systems.  Since the security incident, we have implemented additional cybersecurity safeguards, and we are working closely with our internal and external experts to further enhance the security of our systems.  Rockrose’s investigation determined that certain individuals’ personally identifiable information may have been impacted.

What Information Was Involved

At this time, we believe that the types of information impacted may have included names, social security numbers, taxpayer identification numbers, driver’s license numbers, passport numbers, financial account and routing numbers, health insurance information, medical information, or online account credentials for individuals who have affiliations with Rockrose, such as our employees or residents of our properties.  If an individual’s information was impacted, it may have included some or all of those types of information.

What We Are Doing

We take privacy and security very seriously.  Rockrose took steps to secure its systems and engaged third-party experts to assist in the investigation.  Since the security incident, we have implemented additional cybersecurity safeguards, and we are working closely with our internal and external experts to further enhance the security of our systems.

Additionally, to help protect individuals’ identities, we are offering complimentary access to Experian IdentityWorksSM for 24 months.  We also encourage any impacted individual to activate the fraud detection tools available through Experian IdentityWorks as a complimentary 24-month membership.  This product provides superior identity detection and resolution of identity theft.  To start monitoring your personal information, please call (833) 931-3792 toll-free, 8 am to 8 pm, Eastern Time, Monday through Friday (excluding major U.S. holidays).  Be prepared to provide your engagement number B155659.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS REGARDING 24-MONTH EXPERIAN IDENTITYWORKS MEMBERSHIP

A credit card is not required for enrollment in Experian IdentityWorks.  Enrolled individuals can contact Experian immediately regarding any fraud issues and have access to the following features once they enroll in Experian IdentityWorks:

  • Experian credit report at signup:  See what information is associated with the individual’s credit file.
  • Credit Monitoring:  Actively monitors Experian file for indicators of fraud.
  • Identity Restoration:  Identity Restoration specialists are immediately available to help address credit and non-credit related fraud.
  • Experian IdentityWorks ExtendCARETM:  Enrolled individuals receive the same high-level of Identity Restoration support even after your Experian IdentityWorks membership has expired.
  • $1 Million Identity Theft Insurance:  Provides coverage for certain costs and unauthorized electronic fund transfers.  (The Identity Theft Insurance is underwritten and administered by American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida, an Assurant company.  Please refer to the actual policies for terms, conditions, and exclusions of coverage.  Coverage may not be available in all jurisdictions.)

What You Can Do

It is always a good practice to remain vigilant and carefully monitor and review online accounts and financial statements for any unauthorized activity.  If suspicious transactions or unknown activity is detected, promptly contact the company that maintains the account.  Suspected incidents of identity theft should also be reported to local law enforcement or your state’s attorney general.
